Europe’s Solheim Cup Captain Alison Nicholas visited Stackstown Golf Club on 10th May 2011. as part of her nationwide tour to promote the Solheim Cup
Members of Stackstown Golf Club were privileged to receive a special golf clinic from Alison Nicholas on Tuesday evening. She displayed the skills of golf and answered any questions posed to her . We were treated to a spectacular showcase of posture and address. She also had the trophy and posed for pictures with it.
She visited the Harrington room accompanied by our Captain Richie Ryan, Lady Captain Minda Walsh and V/Capt Breda McInerney and was very impressed with the display .
The Solheim Cup will be played at Killeen Castle from 23rd -25th September and will be the centre of the golfing universe when Europe take on the USA. She requested that as many members as possiblle attend the event where passion drama joy and heartbreak combine to create a spectacular showcase for women's golf.
