Captains Welcome
A “once in a lifetime” opportunity to be Captain of Stackstown Golf Course, We regard our election as Captain for 2010 as a great honour and privilege .We hope to fill this position with the integrity and distinction it deserves and to work for your interests and the club’s interest during our term of office. As Golf is our principle sporting activity, we look forward to the year ahead with delight and great expectations and hope that together we will have a lot of enjoyment and fun along the way. Our sincere wish is that 2010 will be a great year for all our members and visiting guests.
As Captain we would like to welcome all our members and visitors to our website, we trust that you will find it informative and helpful.
Stackstown is open for Green Fees all year round and also have a number of open competitions during the year. Stackstown also caters for groups including Corporate and Societies and offer excellent value for money to play the course where Padraig Harrington learned his golfing skills.
Stackstown have a team of staff in the golf shop, on the course and in administration who are dedicated to providing members, guests and visitors with a pleasant day’s golf. Stackstown will have a full calendar of events for 2010, and a very special thank you, must go to both our existing and new Sponsors for their generosity. We appeal to all members to support our sponsors in 2010.
We would like to extend a sincere welcome to our President’s Larry O’Connor and Patricia Doherty, Club Officers and each member of the Committees, and we look forward to working with each of them. We wish the team managers, who have readily agreed to direct our club teams this year, enjoyable challenges and good results.
Finally we believe that friendship and a welcoming atmosphere are essential attributes of a good golf club. Each individual member has the capacity to make his or her own contribution to Stackstown Golf Club. We appeal to everyone to try and help us achieve this at Stackstown Golf Club, as you are aware that what works is “Team Work”.
Finally we would like to wish all members, existing and new good health and an enjoyable years’s golf in 2010.
