ILGU Junior Medal National Final
Fifty players under the age of 18 took to the links at Seapoint today for the ILGU Junior Medal National Final. Three of our junior girls qualified for this final and they were excellent ambassadors for Stackstown. Playing in very tough high winds on this excellent links course. They are Ciara Doyle, Caoimhe McKeon and Abbie O'Connor coming joint 5th with 35 points.
The overall Gold Medal winner was Olivia Currie who carded the score of the day in very windy conditions. The Moyola Park member has a handicap of 31 and had 45 points, a score which included four pars.
Niamh Grealy (Beaverstown) won the 0-20 handicap category and the Silver Medal while Erin McClure (Royal Belfast) takes home the Bronze category medal for her 40points. Katie Poots (Knock) was the winner of the gross prize.
The Club Junior Medal is awarded to the player with the lowest aggregate of 3 net score differentials relative to CSS, one in each month of the school holidays, June, July and August. Winner in Stackstown is Abbie O'Connor which will be presented to her in December at our prizegiving.
Lady Captain Anne and Vice Captain Sheila and Mary Brennan Girls Junior Convenor travelled up to support the young girls.
