Another good weekend for Ladies golf in Stackstown. Our Challange Team following the Minor Teams win last weekend pulled off a great win against Foxrock.

An early start in Foxrock saw Nicola Hall with caddie Brid Flynn get off to a great start and keeping her nerve , win out on 15th hole with Mary OLeary just out of luck.

At home, it was nip and tuck all the way with Martina Halpin and caddy Trudy Doyle and Susan Brady with caddy Grace Wallace both dormie on 17th and holding their nerve to secure a fabulous win. Patricia Brennan following with caddy Captain Marian was called in. Thanks to subs on the day Marianne Corbet and Helen Ellard , VC Dee in Foxrock and the great supporters in red who despite the inclement weather followed the team to a late nail biting finish and great win.

Next week on Friday 5th May we have the Junior 4somes versus Druids Heath at 3.15pm and on Sunday we have the Revive against Delgany.

Our mixed team fought bravely, but it wasn’t to be, losing out on the final hole to Beechpark.
