Here's a few tips for winter golf in Stackstown:-

For the duration of the winter season, the use of mats is obligatory for all golfers and are available from the pro-shop. Irrespective of where you are on the golf course (except in a hazard or indside the white markers in front of greens), you should place your mat on the ground and place the ball on the mat. Obviously you are not allowed tee the ball up on the mat.

Make sure your steel spikes or studs are capable of protecting you on the soft ground on the golf course. The pro-shop will help you in this regard.

You can protect the course by using the paths wherever possible for walking and for trollies, buggies and carts. Please do NOT bring your buggies or trollies onto tee-boxes or inside the white markers in front of the greens. You can also reduce the risk of damage to the course (and to yourself) by leaving your trolley in strategic places and bringing your clubs with you. For example, you can leave your bag on the path between the second green and the third tee box instead of bringing the bag down to the green and then trying to get it up the hill to the third tee box.
